CALEC Procedure Saves Nick’s Vision and his career as a pilot

A terrible accident at a July 4th, fireworks party caused significant damage to Nick’s cornea.

Doctors at a California hospital told him the eye may need to be removed or if saved he’d have no vision due to his distorted eye lid.

Research by his family led them to MEEI for an assessment of the CALEC procedure to see if it could save his sight and his pilot’s career.

Weeks later MEEI applied the ‘first ever on human’ CALEC to Nick’s cornea and the results have saved his sight in that eye and his career as a pilot is now close to resuming.
